Wessel Family
The Wessel family originally came from Heiden Germany. In the 1800's Johanne Karoline Friederike (Nee Oberkrueger) Wessel immigrated to Sheboygan, Wisconsin with her three sons, Friedrich Heinrich Ludwig, Friedrich Herman Adolph, Heinrich Adolph Herman, and a two daughters Joann Karoline Emilie, and Henriette Friederike Charlotte. According to Johanne's obituary, one sister remained in Germany and married a Carl Klein.
Friedrich Heinrich Ludwig "Henry" stayed in the Sheboygan Area, Friedrich Herman Adolph "Adolph" moved to Clark County and settled in the Greenwood area as a Dairy Farmer. He married Anna Auerbach. Friedrich Herman Adolph "Herman" also moved to Clark County and later moved back to the Sheboygan Area. Henriette Friederike Charlotte married Franz "Frank" Herman Reinhardt.
